The Travel in Space – a visual field of tension between the microcosm and the macrocosm.
In the Big Bang theory of the formation of the universe, it is believed that the elements that make up living organisms, including humans, originate from supernova explosions. Thereby we all have a kinship to the stars. If one zooms into the body, the greatness of the universe rotates within us as an echo of the universe’ first explosion. The atoms line up in systems and formations similar to what we look at when we look at the solar system.
The Travel in Spaces zooms into the fibers and magnifies the traces of our reality. When the parts of our organism that are invisible to the eye are produced, when the change of material is put under the magnifying glass, the body becomes an alien planet. The lunar landscape is perhaps rather bone structures. Cells transform into planets or vice versa. The question is: if the universe is infinite outward, is it then also infinitely inward?
We are looking forward to welcoming you to the opening reception on Friday May 28th at 5-7 pm. The exhibition runs through July 3rd, 2021.
The exhibition is supported by The Danish Art Foundation
